A Perfect School Holiday Activity For The Kids - From An Original Idea By A Genealogist

A Perfect School Holiday Activity For The Kids - From An Original Idea By A Genealogist

Well right from the geck-ko, that heading doesn't seem right...but when you have children home for the holidays and they are already sick of watching repeats (DVD's or TV), it's too cold to go outside or they are just plain 'bored'.  Here is an ideal activity for them to do, or join in on doing with you.

Now, we all know that the kids know more about the computers and software than we do, right?!?! So what better idea than to give them a challenge/activity, whatever you want to call it and see who does the best chart!

J Paul Hawthorne, from California, US started it all on facebook the other week with his excel chart of #MyColorfulAncestry, that looked just like the Australian Tennis Open Draw (see below).

But, I digress.  This is the perfect activity in which to get the kids interested in family history.

And if you want to see the sea of color just type #MyColorfulAncestry into the search box on facebook. ENJOY!!!
